Who We Are
Pretoria Ilitha Labantu SDA Church
Pretoria Ilitha Labantu, meaning Light of the People, is a Christ-centred and community-focused Seventh-day Adventist Church located in Pretoria East, South Africa.
We are part of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist movement and uphold Sola Scriptura: the Bible alone as the supreme, authoritative, and infallible foundation of our faith and practice.
We currently worship at Presda Primary School in Zwavelpoort while prayerfully working toward a permanent church home for generations to come.
Our motto is Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Everything we do flows from this calling.

Pastor Mduduzi Mkhwanazi
Pastor Mkhwanazi leads Pretoria Ilitha Labantu with a heart for discipleship, community, and the proclamation of the everlasting gospel. His ministry centres on Scripture, prayer, and building a congregation that truly reflects Christ to the world.

What We Believe
Our Faith
As Seventh-day Adventists, we accept the Bible as our only creed and hold the 28 Fundamental Beliefs as our understanding of Scripture's teaching.
God & Holy Scripture
We believe in one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Holy Scriptures are the supreme and authoritative revelation of His will and the standard of all Christian life.
Creation & Humanity
God created humanity in His image. Though sin marred that image, God has a redemptive plan to restore us through Christ Jesus.
Salvation by Grace
Through Christ's life, death, and resurrection, God provided the only means of redemption. By faith we are justified and adopted as children of God.
The Church
We are the body of Christ: a worldwide fellowship called to worship together, proclaim the everlasting gospel, and prepare for Christ's return.
The Sabbath
We observe the seventh-day Sabbath, from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, as God's holy sign of rest, redemption, and covenant relationship.
The Second Coming
The literal, personal, visible return of Jesus Christ is the blessed hope of the church. We live in readiness and share this hope with all people.
